Robin Pope Safaris Lake of Stars Package

Immerse yourself in the culture and vibes of the highly anticipated Lake of Stars music festival, a 3 day extravaganza featuring live music and so much more. Combine this with some R & R at Pumulani, a beautiful beach getaway on Lake Malawi.

The festival takes place over three days, set on the palm fringed shores of one of Africa’s largest lakes and featuring artists from across the globe. This is a true adventure into the cultural heartbeat of a vibrant nation. It is recommended that you purchase your festival tickets and book your accommodation for the festival prior to arrival as tickets are limited. Buy your festival tickets here.

After the Lake of Stars festival you may then opt to spend 4 nights at Pumulani which is located on the Nankumba Peninsula of Lake Malawi. This is recognised as one of the most beautiful shores of the Lake and borders Lake Malawi National Park. This Park was established in order to protect the cichlid fish unique to the area. In 1984 the park was designated a World Heritage Site.

The ten villas at Pumulani are scattered around the hillside and are individual in shape and style. The lodge’s remote beach setting is ideal for those who simply want to soak up the sun and swim in the clear blue waters of the lake. For those who prefer to take a dive in the swimming pool, there is an infinity swimming pool near the central dining area with grand views over the lake. Those seeking  to be more active, Pumulani offers many water activities like snorkeling, fishing, sailing, kayaking, waterskiing, wake boarding and fun tube rides (all motorized activities are excluded from daily rate). At the end of the day climb aboard Pumulani’s dhow and let the experienced local crewmen take you sailing into the sunset.
