Its Monday 28 December 2015 and Merry Christmas

I hope you had a brilliant Christmas and are now gearing up to celebrate the new year! This week we will hear from Bridget and Heath at Mkulumadzi. Over to them.

“The season is changing again, from dry hot weather to hot and humid but with this the much needed rain has arrived and almost overnight the bush has gone from brown to green.

The bush is a hive of growth with bright green trees, shrubs and grasses sprouting up all over.

On game drive many babies can be seen and back at the lodge Buzz and her two babies sometimes come for a visit.

We also have some fantastic news it has been confirmed that Shire the lioness has at least one cub. This is a great step forward for Majete. Our guests have also seen leopards on several occasions on game drive this is also a positive sign that they are becoming less shy.

Along with the babies being born, the migratory birds have made their way back it is beautiful to hear them calling.

As the year is drawing to a close we look back at what a fantastic year we have had. We would like to wish you all a fantastic festive season.
We do hope to see you 2016 where we can share and make memories. From all of us at Mkulumadzi lodge Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!”

Thanks Heath and Bridget for filling us in on the happenings at Mkulumadzi! That’s it for this week and for this year! Catch up with you next Monday.
